KA Gesink designs and produces bags and accessories made of leather. The label has been set up by Karin Gesink after she graduated at the art school and the leather craft school. Characteristic are the expressive actions on the leather whereby Karin works. With delicate interventions such as a cut, a fold or a stitch, she shapes the leather and also creates a surprising texture. She designs all different kinds of bags, and uses moreover all kinds of good quality leather like for example soft sheep nappa or italian aniline dyed bovine leather. They all have their own suitable texture. Earth colors are favorite, but she likes to make an excess occasionally by using bang red or grass green. Her accessories are sober versus delicate. Using half gems, like amethyst, freshwater pearls and rolled gold or gold plated material, she completes the use of the wealthy real natural material.
